Mercantile is an insurance company founded in October 29, 1962 by Edmundo F. Unson, Sr. The early years of Mercantile were spent in the bustling district of Escolta, Manila until they moved their  headquarters to Binondo 5 years later, and finally, to its current home in the historic city of Intramuros. With 58 years of business under its belt, it has grown into a local institution with regional offices all throughout the Philippines. After decades worth of excellent service, Mercantile’s insured amounts grew from P400M in 2014 to over P1.4B in 2018. Greatly exceeding industry growth standards, Mercantile continues to grow their customer base while maintaining their longtime relationships.

After already working for their trustworthy reputation in the industry, Mercantile wanted to rebrand their website to represent the innovation and adaptability that has kept them in the business for decades.

Our Solution

Our goal was to create a visual identity and a website that reflects their values and position in the industry while also enticing new markets to join them. They felt that their previous website was dated and had to be revamped to represent their brand well online. We had to create and develop a strategy and brand identity that will show customers the agency’s innovative and progressive values as a company.For a company like Mercantile, we wanted to make a website that showcases their rich history with a fresh and modern feel. We created a brand identity that combines both old and new.
